Beeswax, damar resin, pigment and shellac on cradled wood panel
This painting was inspired and named after a song by Zmeyev & Screen Jazzmaster. The song has a chill beat to it, with an electronic and hip-hop feel. Drips of wax create an illusion of colourful droplets dancing to the vibration of the base through the speaker. With many layers of vibrant oranges, oceanic blues, and delicious greens you feel a sense of vastness. And as you take a closer look, underneath all the stars (drips of wax) you see the delicate lace-like netting that is pulling them closer to you.
