"Only You" by the Platters, 1955. The song is about that "the one" person, and it's about love. Listening to this song while painting, made me think of "zeroing in"on something, bringing all the focus in on "the one", hence the symmetry in this piece. I think that sometimes when we fall in love at first, we can loose ourselves in that person. So in this painting I wanted to create an underlying "ghost" image, that is being overpowered by a false sense of self.
