Beeswax, damar resin, dry pigments, shellac on cradled wood panel
2023
This painting was named after a song by Suki Waterhouse. The song is about the heartbreak of the relationship filled with secrets and instability and the road to realization of that slow breakdown "The skyline falls as I try to make sense of it all". If you look closely, you'll see little pinholes in the painting, the damage from all the secrets and deception if you will. The overall colours of this piece are beautiful and have an uplifting energy, however it is getting swallowed by tight netting of the lace-like shellac as if that love is getting smothered by deceit.
Hanging hardware is included
![This painting colours are purples, blues, greens, yellow and white. The strong directional lines are created with pointillism technique using a needle. The shellac once it is burned, it created bubbles around each point resulting in a crochet type of pattern.](http://artbyelenamiller.com/cdn/shop/files/GoodLooking.jpg?v=1684176470&width=1445)
