Beeswax, damar resin, pigments and shellac on cradled wood panel
"Reverie", by Claude Debussy-Francois-Joel Thiollier. Most classical music always makes me slow down my breath, and my nervous system almost immediately goes into a parasympathetic state. When I first heard this piece of music, I couldn't stop thinking about rain on a beach. I have actually never experienced rain on a beach, but in my mind's eye I can see it so clearly. The rain is hard, and it's causing the sea water to foam in concentric circles. The water is still maintaining its turquoise shade, because the sun is still out, and I am sure that shortly, I will see a rainbow.
