I get so inspired by Jazz, this painting is named after a piece of music written by Miles Davis. I sometimes wonder if Jazz would be the same without his genius? Fascinating tidbit, for the recording of this album, Miles did not give the sheet music to the musicians in advance. His intention was to take them by surprise and force them to improvise and tap into their full expression of their creativity and artistry. If you examine this painting, you will notice many delicate details that can stand alone in a close up, but as you pan out and look at this piece, you will see a cohesive movement. And just like in Jazz, all these little details (instruments) playing together to create a piece that moves you.
