This painting was inspired by a musical composition by Denis Stelmakh. There is something truly magical about that piece of music-it pulls emotions to the surface in waves, sometimes all at once, sometimes too quickly to name. It reminded me of a vast emotional range we hold as human beings. And yet, so many of us have only learned to recognize a few familiar names-joy, anger, sadness-while others remain unnamed, unspoken and misunderstood. We often don't know how to sit with our emotions, especially the big, expansive ones. But we are all vibrating with energy. That energy-when aligned with intention-can travel far beyond our bodies, past the earth's atmosphere, beyond the Milky Way. It's astounding what we're capable of when we tap into the voice of our soul, when we listen to its quiet calling.
As I created this painting, I envisioned space-an endless, celestial field of stars. Not just what we can see and measure, but everything still unknown and unfolding. At the same time, my thoughts turned to the lower vibrations that we as humans often fall into-the need possess, to claim, to colonize. But I believe that when we truly reconnect with the essence of who we are- with our soul's purpose-those lower frequencies lose their grip. We don't return to old patterns. We rise.
