Beeswax, damar resin, dry pigments and shellac on cradled wood panel

This painting was named after a song by an artist called Skekz. The song "Eastern Sunrise" is meditative and sensual. Its slowness makes me move like water as I angulate vertebrae by vertebrae. First sun rays are warming up the walls of the temple that have been aged with layers of moss over the plaster and stone. The wall is still cool to touch from the night, but not for long, as the sun's embrace expands over it's surface.
My love for age and it's acquired layers of time are expressed in this painting. With each translucent layer you see a little glimpse of the world that came before that.
