This painting was named after a song by Sufjan Steven, he wrote it for the film called "Call Me by Your Name". This song is about loving deeply and the grief that is experienced when that love is gone. The powerful lines in this painting signify the joy, amazement and elation of love as if straight into one's heart. On the opposite spectrum there is this loss and misery when that love and its bliss has run dry. This painting has an abundance of small, delicate and intricate details that are like little miracles of love that should be celebrated. And like Sufjan Stevens implies with his lyrics "Instead of abstaining from love in hopes of avoiding its affliction, we should look forward to its beauty and welcome the Mystery of Love".
