"Cloudskater" named after a piece of music composed by Nolan Khan. The musical piece conveys so much lightness, freedom and introspection. It invites a listener to imagine the feeling of skating among the clouds, experience the expansion in the breath that one takes when they are not weighed down by heaviness of life.
My intention in this painting was to combine the weightless serenity of a "cloudskater" with the vibrant, symbolic richness of greens- to speak to life, rebirth, and the heart chakra.
More than a visual piece, I wanted this to be a felt experience. I hoped to invite the viewer into a space of quiet elevation, where spirit and nature meet, and the heart begins to open.
